Taftan
Taftan is the only active volcanic mountain in Iran, which is located in the southeastern region of Iran in Sistan and Baluchestan province, at an altitude of 4042 meters above sea level, and is considered among the highest mountains in Iran. Taftan Mountain has many peaks, that is why it is called the “Forty Tons” volcanic peak. Volcanic dust is often raised out of this peak from sulfur emits. In the heights of Taftan, 3 lakes known as “Darya Sar” can be seen. Two lakes are located in the northern part of Taftan and the water is shallow and fresh; the other lake is relatively large and saltwater.
Zard-kuh

Zard-kuh means yellow mountain, and the reason behind the naming is the yellow mountain peak, which is usually covered by snow. Dena
