Itinerary

• Day 1

  Arrival

  Meet and greet at the airport and transfer to hotel and leisure time.

  Tehran city tour

  Have breakfast, Tehran city tour including : Golestan palace, Tehran bazaar, have lunch, Jewerly museum and national garden.

  Fly to Zahedan

  Have breakfast, getting to the domestic airport and flight to Zahedan, transfer to base camp and continue to Khash en route side road to Tamandān village and have lunch and climbing to mountain shelter (3228 m) and camp.

• Day 4

  Climb the volcano

  Get up early morning and have breakfast and climb to Taftan peak (the only active volcano in Iran) and ascend for 4 hours to 3905 m, rest and take the photo and return to mountain hut and camp

• Day 5

  Return to Zahedan

  Having breakfast, descending all steadily to the base camp for 3 hours and transfer to Zahedan and having lunch there, taking the Zahedan city tour in the evening.

• Day 6

  UNESCO world heritage

  Have breakfast, continue to Zabol (224 km, 02:40) , stop by and visit Shahr-e Sukhteh (UNESCO world heritage site)  have lunch, continue to Birjand and have dinner.

• Day 7

  Saffron fields

  Have breakfast, Birjand city tour and visit Kolah firangi citadel and Bazaar of Birjand, Akbarieh Garden and have lunch and continue to Ghayen (108 km, 01:30). Ghayen is famous for its Saffron so we will stop there and visit the tomb of Bozarjomehr with its wonderful architecture and continue to Gonabad (105 km, 01:15) and have dinner.

• Day 8

  The longest watering system

  Have local breakfast, Gonabad city tour and  Pottery workshop in Gonabad, Jameh mosque and  Qanats of Gonabad (also called Kariz Kai Khosrow, is one of the world’s oldest and largest networks of qanats. Built between 700 and 500 BCE by the Achaemenid Empire in what is now Gonabad, Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran, the complex contains 427 water wells with a total length of 33,113 meters), have lunch and continue to Nashtifan and have dinner.

  Khorasani music

  Have local breakfast and visit old windmills in Nashifan and learning about the structure , then visit Nashifan cemetery and have lunch, continue to Khaf and visit old music instruments workshops and Rug workshops and have dinner.

  Radkan village

  Have breakfast, walking in  Torbat Heydariyeh national garden and continue to Radkan (247 km, 03:00) and continue to local house and have lunch, walking in old portion of village at evening and visit Radkan tower, return to local house and listen to local music and have dinner.

  Explore Mashhad and departure
