Taftan mountain, located in the southeast of Iran, is a complex eroded stratovolcano with two prominent summits. This semiactive volcano releases weighty volcanic gases during fumarolic activities. Visiting the ancient archeological city of "Shahr-e Sukhteh" dating back to over 3000 years, where the first animation where made, would be a unique experience. Apart from all amazing natural and cultural sights in Sistan Baloochestan, Taftan Mountain Climbing Tour also includes visiting some other UNESCO heritage, such as Nashtifan windmills and the Radkan astronomical tower. we are not done here! not without listening to great Dutar players of Khorasan. Dutar is the special instrument of Khorasan whose name is in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

      Have breakfast, Tehran city tour including : Golestan palace, Tehran bazaar, have lunch, Jewerly museum and national garden.

    • Fly to Zahedan

      Have breakfast, getting to the domestic airport and flight to Zahedan, transfer to base camp and continue to Khash en route side road to Tamandān village and have lunch and climbing to mountain shelter (3228 m) and camp.

    • Climb the volcano

      Get up early morning and have breakfast and climb to Taftan peak (the only active volcano in Iran) and ascend for 4 hours to 3905 m, rest and take the photo and return to mountain hut and camp

    • Return to Zahedan

      Having breakfast, descending all steadily to the base camp for 3 hours and transfer to Zahedan and having lunch there, taking the Zahedan city tour in the evening.

      Have breakfast, continue to Zabol (224 km, 02:40) , stop by and visit Shahr-e Sukhteh (UNESCO world heritage site)  have lunch, continue to Birjand and have dinner.

    • Saffron fields

      Have breakfast, Birjand city tour and visit Kolah firangi citadel and Bazaar of Birjand, Akbarieh Garden and have lunch and continue to Ghayen (108 km, 01:30). Ghayen is famous for its Saffron so we will stop there and visit the tomb of Bozarjomehr with its wonderful architecture and continue to Gonabad (105 km, 01:15) and have dinner.
