Alamut & Ovan lake is a heaven for adventurers, a mountainous region where you can set up a tent and enjoy spending a night or two in nature. Ovan means the water boiling from the ground. This turquoise lake is trapped by Alamut mountains which have made it a breathtaking scene to look at. There is special vegetation around the lake which is continued to cover the slopes, too.

There is a possibility of sailing in the lake, which is quite fun for tourists. During summer, pedal boats are also a viable option.

Day 1

Mysterious castle of Alamut

Have you ever heard about the majestic castle of Alamut? This castle has build in tope of the mountain to defeat and kill the enemies! We leave the hotel towards Alamut castle (200 km, 03:00) at 2,163 m height and where Husein Sabah lived. After that we have lunch box and rest a little to getting ready to visit Alamut village and spend time in local house and know about traditional lifestyle.
Day 2

Turquoise lake

After having our traditional breakfast, we continue to Ovan lake and walking near this wonderful nature scene for several hours. We can’t lose time to take photos and watching the trees around the lake. Then we have lunch and tea in nature and return to Tehran.
