Known as the birthplace of Zoroastrianism, Takab or Takht-e Soleyman is the most outstanding site associated with one of the early monotheistic religions of the world and it has important symbolic significance. Takab is quite rich in terms of cultural and historical sites in Iran and has been registered in the UNESCO world heritage list. As an archeological site, the design of the fire temple dating back to 1500 years ago, the palace (or prison) and the general structure have strongly influenced the development of Islamic architecture in Iran. This spectacular area is associated with lots of secrets; the most impressive one is Takht-e Soleyman Lake right at the center of the temple. It is believed that Soleyman the prophet has buried his treasure deep at the bottom of the lake. However, The lake offers several extraordinary features which are scary enough not to try to access the treasures! Among them is the water temperature; despite being located in the cold region of Azerbaijan, the temperature of the lake is stable and does not exceeds or lowers 21 centigrade during summer and winter! No living creature lives from the depth of 1 meter down the lake due to the presence of hard water elements. The water is not potable you should not drink water or even touch it! Day 1

The most amazing historical highlight

We will pick you up from your accommodation and leave toward Takab. It takes 2h driving from the mountainous road and there are a lot of photo stop spots to satisfy your capturing desire. Takab itself is very famous for a kind of Persian carpet called Afshar and also monuments which are worth discovering. We will explore the highlighted ones as Takht-e Soleyman and Chamli in two days. For the first date (145 km, 02:30), and visit Takht-e Soleyman complex and continue to Nosratabad village

Day 2

Discover ancient scenes of Iran

After breakfast, we continue to Prison of Solomon and hiking around this place. Then move to visit Chemeli which is an interesting natural attraction called moving grass. The grasses here have no roots in soil and all is on water which allow them to move by wind. this hundred meter square island become popular attraction since it’s always is green even in winter. After visit this place we will have lunch and return to Zanjan.
