Why is it called “Saragha Seyed”?
According to the genealogies, the life of the village dates back to 600 years ago and the name of the village is taken from the Imamzadeh( shrine tomb) of Sir Agha seyed Isa in the village.
Some say that in ancient times, those who went to visit the Imamzadeh used to say that we would go to the tomb of Agha Seyed Isa, and the shortened form of that is “Saragha Seyed”. Some others believe that because the houses in the village are located above the Imamzadeh, and “Sar” in Persian is also the equivalent for the top they call Saragha Seyed meaning as ” A place on the top of Agha Seyed Tomb”.
What makes it so special?
Sar Aghasid village has a special and traditional old texture and architecture. The village houses are built in the form of a compact staircase, and the architecture of the houses is such that the courtyard of each house is the roof of another house. In this type of architecture, all houses have a landscape and are built on one side. The image on the roofs of the houses in front of the human eyes shows a very beautiful and dreamy nature that perhaps no place can be found so easily that such a beautiful landscape can be seen from inside the house.
The materials used in the construction of the village houses are mud and clay, which are made with very simple architecture, and wood is used for the doors of the houses and the roof. Another feature of these houses is the lack of windows. None of the village houses have windows in a very special way. The houses have only doors that are very small and made of wood from the same area. It can be said that all the materials used in the construction of houses were provided by the village itself. The houses are built in nested form and consist of two parts, one for the residents of the house and the other for livestock, poultry, and warehouses.
